DAIRY GRADING STORE
NEW LICENCE OPPOSED [from our own correspondent] PTJKEKOHE, Friday "Although producers throughout the country have voiced opposition, it seems that the Government wall grant a dairy produce grading licence to the company formed to establish another freezing store at Westfield," said Mr. Dynes Fulton, chairman of directors of the New Zealand Dairy Company, at a meeting of dairy farmers at Pukekohe last evening. The meeting had been convened to hear an address by Mr. W. Grounds outlining the work of the Dairy Control Board. Mr. Fulton presided over an attendance of about 30 dairy farmers from various parts of Franklin. Mr. Fulton said he would oppose the issuing of the licenco by every means in his power. The Farmers' Company, ho said, was at present providing the required facilities and to allow the other company to operate would be gravely jeopardising farmers' interests. On the motion of Messrs. A. Woolsey and S. Brown it was unanimously resolved that the meeting advise the Government that it was absolutely opposed to the granting of the licence.
