AIDING THE Y.W.C.A.
Mrs. Barnett, assisted by the Tamaki Women's Progressive League, held a delightful bridge party on Tuesday evening at her home at St. Heliers in aid of the Y.W.C.A. The large rooms, which were decorated with bowls of spring flowers, looked most attractive. Songs bv Mrs. Harold King during the supper interval were very much enjoyed. The prizes were won by Mrs. Houchen and Mr. J. Reeves. At the close of the evening a very hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mr. and Mrs. Barnett. Receiving her guests, Mrs. Barnett wore a frock of black and white sal in and lace. Among those present were: —Miss Wilson, ,Mrs. A. Brookfield, Mrs. Rinks, Mrs. Gisby, Mrs. Jackson, Mrs. St. Clair Jnglis. Mrs. Biggs, Mrs. Houchen, Mrs. B. Clark, Mrs. Baskett, Miss Locke, Mrs. Card, Mrs. Horton, Mrs. Chillwell, Mrs. Jacka, Mrs. Sangar, Mrs. Nain, Miss E. Wilson, Mrs. B. Laurence, Mis. Weir, Miss Weir, Mrs. Dickey, Miss McGill, Mrs. Lloyd, Miss Hargood, Mrs. Phantom. Mrs. MacAssey, Miss Porter, Miss Nevill, Miss Wilcock, Miss St. Clair Jnglis, Miss Burnside, Mrs. Flood, Miss McHuge, Miss Aitken, Mrs. Robinson.
