Mr W R Brinsley, of Dunedin, and Mr L Hazel, of London, who are making a tour of New Zealand, arrived from Rotorua yesterday. They are afc the Grand Hotel. , Mr Stewart Fraser, export manager of Riley' (Coventry), Limited will reach Auckland from London by the Rang,tiki to-day. He will make a business tour of the Dominion. Sir George Fowlds, president of the Auckland University College Council, left by train last evening for Wellington to attend the quarterly meeting of the Senate of the University of New Zealand. He will return on Saturday morning. The Rev W. J; Elliott, superintendent of the Gisborne Methodist Church Circuit, will retire from the active work of the ministry at the end of next March. He will then complete 40 years in th-e ministry and 50 years as a preacher in the service of his Church. Sir Alison Russell, K.C., who has held a number of important Office appointments, and was formerly Chief JusSee of Tanganyika Territory, returned to Auckland 'JSfSX tour of the Dominion.
