QUALITY OF WOOL

GISBORNE SHOW EXHIBITS JUDGE'S FAVOURABLE COMMENT [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT! GISBORNE, "Wednesday A feature of the Gisborne Show is the fleece section, which Professor Perrin, of Massey College, one of the judges, declared to have the largest number of entries lie had seen in any part of the North Island. The wool, said Professor Perrin, was in fair condition, but was affected by recent rain, the outstanding weakness being broken backs, which emphasised the importance of breeding fleece that would shed the weather. The champion fleece was a beautiful even-grown fleece, with broad staple, evenness of crimp and plenty of character, combined with good weight. Professor Perrin complimented the association upon the progressive move it had made in erecting special accommodation for the fleece section, the building being far ahead of the facilities provided at any other show that he had visited.
