CHRISTINA OF GREENLAND
A presentation of the musical comedy " Christina of Greenland " was given by the members of the Howick-Pakuranga Alusical Society in the Public Hall. Otahuhu, on Wednesday evening. The entertainment was arranged in aid of the funds of the Otahuhu school dental clinic. Produced under the direction of Air. Norman Day the play was successfully staged and an exceptionally high standard was reached by many of the performers. The musical numbers were well rendered, the audience showing appreciation of a particularly fine effort by Thelma (Aliss Marie Dovereaux) and Afilton (Air. G. Roberts). Humorous situations were exploited successfully by Pat (Mr. J. Aliller) and Anna (Aliss Peggy Witt). The leading part, Christina, was well portrayed by Aliss Julie Williams. The other characters were: Ag-Wah-Woo (Air. Cliff Johnson), Iggi-Aloo-Aloo (Air. D. Farquhar), Lord Doolittle (Air. Eric AlcAlurray). Airs. AalborgNona (Miss Ola Raster), Peter AalborgEric the Bold (Mr. Don. Connelly), Ralph Winslow (Air. S. Ovorton), Captain Boyd (Air. C. Page), Russovitch (Air. Robert Beckett).
