WAIHI BEACH PROPOSAL ] TAURANGA BOARD'S ATTITUDE [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] TAURANGA, Monday A special meeting of the Taurang* Electric-Power Board was held to-day to consider matters in connection with the inquiry to be held at Waihi to-morrow as to whether the supply of power to Waihi Beach should be under the control of the Tauranga Power' Board or the Thames Valley Power Board. Ihe engineer, Mr. J, R. Bonjard, prfr> ; sented a report dealing with the tine i costs on tho proposed route from Athenree : to the Waihi Beach reserve, and also an estimate of the revenue. The board unanimously decided to proceed with the extension of reticulation to supply current to properties at Athenree : as soon as sufficient revenue was guaran* teed. It was also agreed that if the board was given authority to reticulite Waihi Beach the reticulation be proceeded with immediately.
