GALSWORTHY'S DOGGEREL
Mr. R. John Calsworthy had written some doggerel verses in his own handwriting on the title-pago of a first edition of his plays, which was given as a prize to the winner of the " luck dip " at a bsill in London. Tho verses were as follow: — .Who wins the prize has work cut out. The volume'is so very stout; Indeed it will take him/her many days To read these twenty-seven plays. But then he/she need not take tho thing Au serieux, but have a_ fling, Preßent the object to his/her Ma Or leave it in a motor-car.
