BOMBING IN CUBA
POLICE CHIEF KILLED DECEASED'S BIG FORTUNE HAVANA. Sept. 11 " The Chief of Police, Captain Manskip, and his assistant. Major Echenique, were killed in a bomb explosion while they were examining 25 suspects held in connection with other bomb outrages in the city. Captain Manskip, who was being paid a salary of £3O a month, left an estate valued at £500.000. He is alleged to have made his money by collecting a percentage from gamblers who obtained in return immunity from police action.
