SYDNEY LEGAL ACTION

DECISION FOR PLAINTIFFS (Received September 19, 7.15 p.m.) -- SYDNEY. Sept. 19 The New Zealand gold case was settled to-day in the Equity Court. The Commissioner of Police here will hand over the •£IOOO worth of gold to the plaintiffs, Garrett and Davidson, Limited, Sydney.

The gold mentioned in the cablegram was consigned to Garrett and Davidson, Limited, • metallurgists, who obtained an injunction restraining the Commissioner of Police at Sydney and the HuddartParker Company from sending it back to New Zealand. The retention of the gold in New South Wales was ordered and it was placed with the Bank of New South Wales as receiver for the Government pending the final decision in the case.
