RIFLE SHOOTING
AUCKLAND CITY CLUB The Auckland City Defence Rifle Club opened the 1932-1933 season at Penrose rifle range on Saturday afternoon in fine weather. There was a very large attendance of memhoTß. probably the biggest the club has had for many years. Tlie practices compmed 10 ehots at 300 yards, and this was repeated. A friendly match was arranged -with the Akarana Club with eix men aside. In this the City team had a rather easy win. The team scores were as under:— City.—A. Sommerville, 91; H. Simmonds, 89; C J. Robieson. 88; A. G. Robertson, 87; G.' g! Kelly. 85- C. J. M. Clark, 80; total, 520 & "Akarana.—D. Calder, 88; R. Wakefield, 83- W. Powell, 84; A. Dixon. 83; B.
