PICKING WINNERS Two southern sportsmen recently returned from a visit to several North Island race meetings. Travelling, however, did not agree with one of thera who could not shake off a heavy cold. They arrived at Wanganui where a certain meeting had special interests for them; but prospects were dismal when our friend's cold became wors* and compelled him to spend the morning in bed. About 10.30 his companion returned in high hopes. " I've brought home a 6Uie winner that's going to bring you out on top," he exclaimed, producing a small bottle of " Baxter's." " See if this won't fix you." " Baxter's " certainly did the trick, so completely that our friend was able to enjoy a good afternoon's sport. " Picking 'Baxter's' is surer than picking a hat full of 'certainties,' " was his earnest remark. Now they are never without a bottle. In every wise sportsman's and traveller's kit you are almost sure to find Baxter's Lung Preserver. Be sure you are never without this valuable remedy. All chemists and stores have the three sizes, Is 6d, 2s 6d and 4s 6d.—Advt.
