FALL FROM BALCONY
INJURIES PROVE FATAL FATE OF ELDERLY WIDOW .An inmate of tho Auckland Infirmary, Elizabeth Henshaw, aged 76, a widow, fell from a balcony at the institution on Friday afternoon last and received a fracture of tho right femur. She died at tho Auckland Hospital on tho following day. At an inquest held yesterday evidence was Riven that deceasqd had been in failing health and had been ndmittod to tho infirmary at lior own request on September 9. She was seen to fall from the balcony by two other inmates of the home, but it was not known whether tht\ fall was the result of an accident or a deliberate action on the part of deceased. In returning, a verdict that deceased died from injuries received through falling from a balcony, the coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., said that from the evidence he was unable to say whether the fall ; was accidental or otherwiso.
