WARM TRIBUTE PAID [BX TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Monday A warm tribute to the press of New Zealand was paid by Mr. P. N. Rundle, manager of tho New Zealand Olympic team, when speaking at the official welcome home given to the team by the Mayor, Mr. T. C. A. Hislop, to-day. Mr. bundle stud that after his experience in California he was satisfied that New Zealandors did nob altogether realise what splendid newspapers they had. If it was a matter of sensational paragraphs and big headlines American papers were all that could bo desired, but with the news of the world it was quit© a different thing. The New Zealand paper gave more news in a day than the average American paper provided in • a fortnight.
