DISCOVERY IN BUSH
HUMAN REMAINS FOUND MISSING FARMER'S FATE HOPES OF IDENTIFICATION [BY TELEGRATH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] .NEW PLYMOUTH, Monday A possible explanation of a two-year-old mystery was revealed on Saturday afternoon by two young men of the Kohuratahi unemployed camp while on a pig hunting expedition. When traversing country some considerable distance from the camp they carno upon a human skull and hones and a pair of boots. Beside the remains lay a shotgun. The discovery was mado near the property owned by Mr. Donald Morrison, a Ivohuratahi farmer, who has beeu missing since February, 1930.
No other person is reported missing, and tho human remains aro probably those of Mr. Morrison. His disappearance created a sensation in tho district. Ho vanished without trace, and his house was found destroyed by fire, and somo 20 head of cattle were discovered shot in tho bush.
At present it is not definitely established that the remains are those of Mr. Morrison, but it is hoped that identity can bo fixed through tho gun found besido them. A' coifstable has left Whangamomona to make investigations.
