PHILISTINES' CLUB
The Philistines' Club evening, held in the Amateur Operatic Society's hall on Saturday, was attended by a large number of members and their friends. Items given by Miss Ida Lockwood, Miss K. O'Leary, Miss Harrison, Mr. M. Adams, Mr. W. Harris and Mr. Charles Primo were enjoyed, as were two sketches. In the first, entitled " The Eighth Wonder," produced by Mr. George Moody, the parts were taken by Mrs. J. Pool, Miss Edna Thomas, Miss Myrtle Burns, Mr. Reev<» Pilkington and Mr. J. Poole. The second sketch was given by Miss Allie Deacon and Mr. Raymond Reeve. Tho chairman for the evening was Mr. W. H. Johnson. Mrs. Johnson wore a frock of lemon taffeta, with an appliqued white sasb Dancing to Birtley's orchestra completed the evening's entertainment.
