The board agreed to support the proposal. The Tauranga. Co-operative Dairy Association advised that it strongly supported the principle of amalgamation of the threa electric supply authorities operating ia the Tauranga County. _ The Bay of Plenty sub-provincial execu-* tive of the Farmers' Union wrote en* dorsing the principle of the amalgama* ~ tion of the three elettric supply authorities in Tauranga County, .and suggested the further possibility of one power board controlling the whole electric supply of H the Bay of Plenty. Boak, •> borough engineer,) wrote stating that the Electricity Committee of the Borough Council had agreed to allow the board a reduction of 20 per cent on the charge for power used for • flaxmilling, the period of the reduction to be at the will of the council..
