OPIUM SEIZED
ARRESTS BY DETECTIVES TWO MEN IN CUSTODY Three tins of prepared opium, ill New Zealand about £45, were seized by detectives \vhen they arrested two men in "Victoria Street yesterday afternoon/ 4 " Detectives' "Nalder .arid"'- Bowman arrested a man after "lie left-a shop-in Victoria Street. He was taken back' -to th§ shop, where another man was 'taken into custody. The first man arrested is aged 46 and he "has been charged with being in possession of prepared opium. The other man, a seaman, aged 36, lias -been - charged with importing the drug. They will appear in the Police Court, this morning.
