WEST END ROWING CLUB

DANCE AT PETER PAN The first ball to be held by the West End Rowing Club took place in the Peter Pan Cabaret last evening and proved a very successful and enjoyable function. The club colours of black and white were featured in the decorations, streamers in the two shades being looped across the ceiling. Bowls of spring flowers on the small tables surrounding the dance floor added further to the colourful scene, as did the small clusters of multi-coloured balloons which were suspended from the ceiling. The Peter Pan orchestra, each member of which wore a West End Rowing Club blazer, played enlivening music for the dancers. Oh arrival the guests were received by Mr. A. M. Paterson, patron of the club, and Mrs. Patevson, who wore a frock and coatee of black Chantilly lace with a large scarlet rose on one shoulder. Among those present were: —Mrs. A. C. Norden, who wore a frock of vellumtinted georgette, inlet with godets of lace; Mrs. S. G. Kendall, in fawn georgette; Mrs. S. F. Paul, buttercup georgette; Mrs. E. E. Alway, white satin, lightly embroidered with diamante; Miss Lynda Gosling, tourquoise blue chiffon; Miss E. McGrath, orange taffeta; Miss Joy Porter, sea-green and silver j lace; Miss J. Purser, white chiffon velvet; Miss M. Purser, geranium-red lace; Miss Dae Wilcox, turquoise blue floral taffeta; Miss E. Jeffery, rose-pink satin; Miss V. Mullins, apple-green taffeta.
