LITTLE GIRL'S DEATH MOTHER ARRIVES TOO LATE [BV TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] PALMERSTON NORTH. Thursday A distressing fatality involving the death of a little girl aged two and a-half years occurred at Sandon yesterday afternoon.

Mrs. Jj. Richards noticed the'absence of the child, and after a search found the child's doll floating on the surface of a pool about 4ft. deep on an adjoining section. Mrs. Richards immediately plunged in and found the body of the child. Every offort. was made to apply resuscitation, but the child >vas dead when the doctor, arrived. . •

Mr. and Mrs. Richards have lived in the Bulls district for many years and moved to Sandon only a few days ago.
