THEFT CHARGE FAILS
MILK MISSED AT FACTORY MAGISTRATE DISMISSES CASE A plea of not guilty was entered by Harry Davies, milk vendor, when charged on summons in the Police Court on Saturday with stealing two gallons of milk valued at Is 6d, the property of Mangero Dairy Supplies. Evidence was given that on August 30 21 gallons of milk wera. missing from complainant company's factory. Accused purchased from 40 to 50 gallons from the factory daily and admitted taking two extra gallons, which he did not pay for, on the day in question. The remaining 19 gallons he knew nothing about. It was the custom at the factory for vendors to take what was called an "over dip" of two gallons for every 40 gallons purchased. The magistrate,* Mr, 1?. K. Hunt, dismissed the case. #
