FRANKLIN ASSOCIATION INCREASED MEMBERSHIP [from our own, correspondent] ' . PUKEKOHE, Tuesday The growth of the Franklin Lawn Tennis Association in recent years is outlined in the report to be presented by -the president. Mr. M. S. Campbell, at tho annual meeting on September 23. Mr. Campbell states that in the 1930-31 season 16 clubs were affiliated to the association, representing 594 members, while in the past year tho association comprised 18 clubs, with 037 members, and it was anticipated that for the coming season the club* in the Manukau Peninsula, out from Waiuku, would also be affiliating. Eight teams competed in the A grade competition last season, 12 in the B grade and 11 in the C grade. The financial statement shows accumulated funds JCGB, an inciease of £G for the year. -•
