WIDOW CLAIMS DAMAGES
ADMINISTRATION OF ESTATE DENIAL OF ALLEGATIONS |BY TEIrEOIIAni —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Monday Negligent administration of the estate of her late husband, John Merry, in regard to rents charged for three properties, was the allegation made by Mrs. Alice Merry against the Public Trustee in tho Supreme Court to-day. She asserted that the Public Trustee obtained grossly inadequate rents for tho properties, and she claimed £2999 as damages. Plaintiff's allegations were strongly denied by the Public Trustee in the statement of defence.
Mr. Justice MacGregor suggested that the matter would be more expeditiously dealt with if it was submitted to an arbitrator who was an expert on such questions. Tho Court adjourned for a time to enable counsel to confer. Subsequently it was announced that tho case had been adjourned for further consideration.
