DEPARTURE FOR SYDNEY

AMERICAN TOUR ENDED (Received September 1, 7.45 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO. Aug. 31 The Arthur Mailev's team of Australian cricketers left San Francisco to-day by the Monowai for Sydney, via Wellington. The players expressed gratification at the reception accorded to them on their tour of Canada and the United States. Messrs. MaUey and Richardson spoke highly of the manner' in which the tour was conducted by the Canadian cricket organisations. Richardson said cricket in Canada was on the up grade. He suggested the creation of a governing council for the Dominion.
