SCIENCE IN THE FACTORY

The need for factory managers being fully equipped with scientific knowledge was stressed by Mr. J. Murray, Dominion secretary of the New Zealand Factory Managers' Association, when speaking to Taranaki managers at New Plymouth on Friday, reports tho North Tai'anaki correspondent of the Weekly News. They were now passing through an era of science, he said, and if managers wore not equipped with all the knowledge that was available from science, thoy were going to fail. It has been said in the past that, in spite of the absence of scientific research, tho factory managers of Now Zealand were able to hold their own against the rest of the world. Tho world, however, was now passing through an era of science and in compote successfully they must all acquire scientific knowledge.
