FORGERY ALLEGED
MAN ARRESTED IN SYDNEY FURTHER CHARGES PENDING [B\' TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Wednesday Arrested in Sydney and escorted back to New Zealand, Thomas Frederick Garside, aged 21. shop assistant, was charged to-day with forging a letter in the name of B. Sutherland, and was remanded to September 7. The police opposed bail, with a statement that the accused would bo faced with at least three or four charges of forgery and obtaining £IOO from a man named Wooley, after obtaining which he had made an attempt to get to England and actually got as far as Sydney. Bail was refused.
