YESTERDAY'S WEATHER
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH Auckland.—A boisterous wind was blow, ing from the north-west yesterday and rain fell at intervals during the day, the showers being more frequent and heavier in the evening. There was very little movement of the barometer, which was practically steady at 30.00 in. Wellington.—Although the rain cased considerably during the night the weather continued wet and cold yesterday. Tho wind remained in the south. Christchurch.—Following a stiff frost the weather was bright and sunny yesterday with a cool breeze from the north-east. Tho maximum temperature was 49 degrees. The barometer registered 30.39 in. at 5 p.m. and was rising. Dunedin.—Bright sunshine made conditions very pleasant yesterday. Thcr® was a light north-east breeze.
