In the drawing rooms were great branches of flowering cherry and prune blossom, arranged with delightful effect, with early arum lilies, and many fragrant bulbs interspersed. In the main supper room the. long table was adorned with a liugo central epergno of silver, arranged with white narcissi and flat pink camellias. , His Excellency tha Governor-General, wearing the uniform of a Privy Councillor and tho mantle of tho G.C.AI/G., entered with Her Excellency, who was in a charming gowu of pearl-white fine French net, with pleated skirt and bodice embroidered in pearls.
