HOLED OUT IN ONE
GOLF FEAT CELEBRATED To celebrate the unusual achievement, of Mrs. George Walker, a member of the Pll- - Ladies' Golf Club, who holed out in one, in tho Canadian foursomes played on Wednesday last, the members were entertained yesterday afternoon at Hotel Mon Desir, Takapuna. Mrs. Walker received her guests wearing a frock of black georgette with crystal trimming and small clocho hat in black felt and velvet. The drawing room was fragrant with golden daffodils artistically arranged in slender crystal vases. A ohcory log fire added to tho comfort of tho room. During the afternoon items wcro given by Miss Beryl Heap and Miss Vida CJramond. After tea was served tho club 0-aptain, Mrs. Beaumont, congratulated Mrs. Walker on her achievement and said that, although Mrs. Walker was a new member of tho club she hoped that she would spend many happy days on the Pupuko Links in future seasons. Tho second hole, at which Mrs. Walker holed out in one, is 177 yards in length, and has a very difficult approach. Among those present were Mrs. H. L. Bowden, Mrs. Mowbray, Mrs. Beaumont, Mrs. McCorkindale, Mrs. T. E. Gooding, Mrs. Gray, Mrs. Jaggs, Mrs. Spiller, Lira. J. C. Rennie, Mrs. Foote, Mrs. Curtis, Miss Gooding, Mias Beryl Heap, Miss Vida Cramond, Miss Ruth Gillett.
