M. August in her work. She appears to have completely thrown off the soreness which affected her in the late autumn, and, now that she is Hound again, f-.he should race in her best form. Although sore when racing at Thames, Anon put up a game ami creditable performance to finish second to Kev,-pie's Triumph. Waikaha, who made a reappearance at the Auckland June meeting after a lengthabsence from the. track, is a likely contender for August Handicap honours. The Gold Bell trotter has several times attempted to win among the pacers, but. solid though he is, he lacks brilliance at the finish. His best effort in this direction was recorded at the Earthquake Relief meeting at Epsom three years ngo, when he finished second to Carmel in the West port Handicap, two miles. Trustworthy, one of the best free-legged pacer 3 seen in the North Island for many years, is creating a favourable impression at Otahuhu since her return to the active, list. Before going into retirement early last season Trustworthy raced with fine consistency. hut she reached a mark which ' she found difficult. She should soon be showing a return to form.
