NOMINATION OF REFEREES The management committee of the Auckland Basketball Association received a request from tbo University Club to the effect that the "big match" of the day be controlled bv a referee holding the Referees' Association" badge. After much discussion it was decided to give clubs the privilege of nominating the referee for a match involving the leading teams in each grade. It -was reported that the iumble sale organised by the Misses Norria and Gardner was a, great success. The committee s thanks were due to some city firms and clubs who so willingly gavo donations of clothing, also to those girls who helped at the sale, „ , It was decided to make Saturday licit tho Inst day of tho bottle drive.
