MINING CONFERENCE
WEST COAST COLLIERIES [BY TELEGRAPH —riucss association] WELLINGTON, Wednesday The conference between West Coast coal miners and owners was opened in Wellington to-day with a view to reaching a settlement of the existing dispute. The miners' delegates this morning asked for reconsideration of certain proposals, and an adjournment was made until this noon. Tho discussion between the parties ha<i not been concluded this evening.
