Mr. A. J. Murdoch, M.P. for Marsden, arrived in Auckland from Wellington by the limited express yesterday morning. J Mr. J. A. Gilmour, secretary of tho Transport Appeal Board, has arrived in Auckland, and will be here until early next month. Mr. Lisle Alderton, a member of the Transport Appeal Board, has returned to Auckland after attending sittings of the board at Napier and Gisbornc. Mr. M. J. Moodabe, governing director of Amalgamated Theatres, Limited, and Mr E J- Mcßrearty, film buyer, will leave for Wellington this evening. Archdeacon O. J. Kimberley, of Blenl,pim has been appointed vicar-general of the Nelson Diocese, and Canon T. J.. Smith now the senior clergyman of tho diocese, has been appointed Archdeacon of Waimea.
