WEEK-END SPORT

IMPORTANT LEAGUE MATCH COLLEGE RUGBY AT EDEN PARK The representative League match between the touring English team and Auckland is among the principal sports fixtures to be decided in Auckland to-day. The match will be played at Carlaw Park, and as curtain-raisers schoolboys' and third grade intermediate matches are to commence at 10 a.m. Rugby football matches arranged are the secondary schools competitions, King's College against Auckland Grammar School and Takapuna Grammar School against Mount Albert Grammar School, both at Eden Park. Contests for tho Pollard Cup will also be decided. Fixtures for the Association code are the Falcon Cup matches, in which Henderson has drawn Tramurewa at Blandford Park, and a knock-out cup competition, in which senior reserve grade teams will play. A friendly match between H.M.S. Dunedin and Ponsonby is to take place at North Shore. Senior grade hockey matches have been arranged for men and women at Remuera this afternoon. Numerous competitions aro to b<s decided by golf clubs during tho week-end. The third round of tho 72-holes medal competition will be played at Middlemore, there is a four-ball aggregate bogey handicap at Titirangi, the second round of tho Schnauer Cup competition is fixed at Maungakiekie, and tho third round of the Howey Walker Cup will be held at Glendowie. Amateur athletics fixtures are al:;o arranged. The winter competitions of tho Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cyclo Club are to lake place in the outer Domain. Huns by the Calliope and Lynndalo harriers will bo held, and the University harriers are holding a club championship at Avondale. The sport of cycling is to be represented by a 40 miles run by tho Auckland centre to Kurneu and back. The Auckland Club will hold a race of 16 miles. Basketball fixtures include matches ov senior grade A and B teams.
