TE AWAMUTU PRICES The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report:—At the Te Awamutu stpck sale a full yarding of cattle came forward. Cow and heifer beef were penned in excess of requirements, and many lots were passed, but prices remained right up to late rates. There was only a small yarding of sheep. There was a heavy yarding of dairy cattle, comprising mostly . heifers. Cattle of duality sold , well, but email and inferior sorts were hard to auit. Pigs also came forward in large numbers, prices remaining at late rates. Quotations: Medium fat wethers. 10s 2d to lis Cd: fat hoggets, 9s to 10s; light fat ewes. 5s to 5s 6d; light fat steers. £5: heavy fat cows. £5 to £5 10s; prime fat heifers, £4 15s to £5 2s: lighter fat heifers. £3 15s to £4 ss: medium fat cow*, £3 15s to £4 12s Gd: lighter fat cows. £2 10s to £3 Ss: killable cows, 35s to £2 53: fresh-conditioned cows, 23s to 30s; boner cows.
