HARRIER RACING UNIVERSITY TEAMS EVENT OTAGO DEFEATS CANTERBURY [by telegraph—press association] CHRISTCHURCH. Friday Tho annual teams raco between Otapo University and Canterbury College for the South Island University harrier challenge cup was held this afternoon and resulted in a win for Otago by 23 points to 32. The course of 6} miles was covered with melting snow, which was a serious handicap on cultivated ground and on the hills. A. P. Thompson (Canterbury) and A. Stewart (Otago) were in the lead throughout, the latter winning by 15yds. F. Harris (Otago) was third nnd L. S, Bambery (Canterbury) fourth. The winner's time was -11 m. 03 4-ss.
