FORESIGHT
FROM WINDSOR'S KITCHENS The luncheons that were served for the Royal party daily at Ascot recently were of a simple character, and for the most part cold. Three courses with fruit and coffee were regarded as adequate. Neither the King nor tho Queen care for a heavy meal in the middle of the day. The food is all prepared in the great kitchens at Windsor Castle, nnd is sent daily in special vans to the Royal luncheon room. Those who were privileged to join Their Majesties noticed that there was no shortage of strawberries for lunch or later in the day. This is due to the foresight of those in charge of the kitchen gardens at_ Frogmore, where a supply of the fruit was specially cultivated undor glass, especially for Ascot Week.
