NEW COMPETITIONS SENIOR SECTION A complete set of seven used New Zealand 1919 Victory Stamps will be given (or the best, essay on " England's Oldest Colony," embracing her history, people * and stamps, comprising not mora than 800 words. Find out tlio name of tha colony, what you can of her geography, history, people and stamps. Other prizes may bo awarded according to quality of entries. Ages 12 to 19 years. JUNIOR COMPETITION (UNDER 12 YEARS) There was a tinio when the Southern States of America owned slaves, but the time came when it was agreed that slavery would, bo done away with, and some those slaves were' sent to a certain place in Africa, and they were allowed a certain amount of land, given their freedom, and allowed to govern themselves. Tell me. in not more than 300 words, what y ou know about this place, give me its name, where it is, what you know about its people and stamps. As a prize I will give a set of stamps of the country, if you send in plenty of nice entries, more prizes may be given. Send all replies, not later than August 27, to R.
