COOKERY COMPETITION

THE FOURTH CONTEST ENTRIES CLOSE TO-NIGHT SIX SUPPER SAVOURIES Entries for the fourth of the series of cookery competitions which are being held by the New Zealand Herald, close this evening. The following are the dotails : COMPETITION No. IV. First prize, £1 is; second prize, 10s 6a. The best six recipes for Supper Savouries. These must be economical, well selected and appetising. -As before, the prizes offered are one guinea for the first and half a guinea tor the second. Other meritorious entries will bo accepted at tho rate of 2a 6d each and published. The judging will bo carried out by Mrs. A. SI. Mann, lady demonstrator at the Auckland Gas Company's cookery department. Recipes may be written or typed. If nofc typod they should bo written clearly in ink on ono side of the paper only. The name and full address of tho competitor should bo written on a separate slip of paper. Entries should be addressed: New Zealand Herald, Auckland, and competitors are asked to write on the outside of the envelope " Cookery Competition, No. 4." Competition No. 4 will be open until tho last mail this evening, and the announcements will be made on Wednesday, August 10. ►
