DEVONPORT SHIELD CONTEST Two q'osoly contested games should take placo in the second round of tho Devonport Shield hockey contest at Remuera to-morrow afternoon. North Shore, last year's champions, will meet University at 1.50 p.m. and at 3 p.m. Somerville, winner of the Davis Cup this year, will meet St. Luke's, which wos runner-up in tho competition. Mount Eden has a bye. Lower grade and ladies' association matches will also bo played. Teams aro as follows: NORTH SHORE Senior Grade.—H. Rankin, R. Allen, F. Anthony, J. Slorry, Fleet, L. TAURANGA BEATS WHAKATANE [by telegraph—own correspondent] TAURANGA, Thursday A hockey match for the Ellison Cup. played between Tauranga and Whakatane, was won by Tauranga by threo goals to one.
