LEAGUE FOOTBALL.

ENGLAND AND AUCKLAND MATCH AT CARLAW PARK FAST GAME ANTICIPATED Tho English Rugby League team will play tho fourth match of its tour against Auckland at Carlaw Park to-morrow, when a fast exhibition is anticipated. The Auckland representatives are considered by many to be ft much stronger combination than the New Zealand thirteen which was defeated in tho first test match. During the week the local team has shown good form at training and the players will be fit to opposo England. Tho visitors did not show their brilliant form of tho Australian tour in tho test match and if an improvement is not made Auckland must have a chance of success tomorrow. A good deal depends on the forwards, who uro likely to prove better all round than the New Zealand pack. They are a faster set and bettor handlers. If Campbell can receive a fair share of tho ball the backs should not be found wanting. The Auckland rearguard is a better combination than that which represented New Zealand last Saturday. The inclusion of Hassan at halfback and Davidson at centre is likely to epeed up the attack. Hassan is a clever player round tho ecrum and should combine effectively with Brisbano and Cooke. Davidsosi is a little inconsistent, but if on his game tho wings. List and Meehan, should bo seen to advantage. The English team has not yet been definitely selected, but it is understood the best thirteen will bo placed against Auckland. Tho Auckland team, which ia requested to meet at the Tepid Baths at 1.45 p.m. tomorrow, is as follows: Fullback.—ll. Campbell (list 8lb). Threequarters.—C. List (12st), B. Davidson (list 81b), P. Meehan (10st). Five-eighths.—A. E. Cooke (lOst 7lb), H. Brisbane (list 7lb). captain. Halfback.—W. Hassan (list 7lb). Forwards.—S. Clark (14st 2lb), G. Campbell (list 91b). L. Hutt (13st Gib), A. Clarke (13st 13lb), It. Lawless (list 7lb), T. Hall (13st 71b). Reserves.—Scagar, L. Scott, St. George. Average weight of backs, list 3lb; forwards, 13st. Mr. P. Rogers, Auckland, has been appointed referee.
