DISMANTLING OLD WHARF

MT. MAUNGANUI STRUCTURE [by telegraph—own correspondent] TAURANGA, Thursday Tho Public Works Department has arranged for tho complete dismantling of the old Railway Wharf at Mount Maunganui and work will bo commenced in about a fortnight. This wharf was built ut the commencement of tho construction work on the section of the railway from Mount Maunganui to Tancatua, and the dosing clown of tho Govornmcnt workshops at Mount Maunganui means there is no further use for the wharf. Tho Harbour Board somo time ago carried out extensive additions to the wharf in Pilot. Bay, which will in futuro serve tho whole of tho Mount.
