COMMUNITY SUNSHINE

The annual meeting of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Community Sunshine Association was held at Sunshine House, Mrs. W. S. Pratt, president, presiding. The secretary read a report of the year's work and thanked all members who had so ably assisted the efforts to help the children. The treasurer showed that sufficient money had been collected during the year for expenses, but, as the activities of th o association had increased, so also had the expenditure. Reports from working committee were received showing that great interest is being taken in promoting the objects of the association. The election of officers was as follows: Mrs. W. S. Pratt, president; Mrs. B. J. McKendrick. secretary; Mrs. A. L. Eady, treasurer, all three being unanimously reelected. The following vice-presidents were also re-elected :—Lady Robertson, Lady Leys, Mesdames E. Davis, J. Ewen, J. B. McFarlane, T. W. Leys, H. Moses, H. Court, Casement Aicken and F. Gaudin. Conveners to various committees were appointed as follows: —Mrs. Bright, social committee; Mrs. Wallace, citizens' committee; Mrs. Sexton, Mothers' Club; Mrs. Winks, dressmaking committee; Mrs. Cooper, jumble sales ; Mrs.' Neilson, forget-me-not; Mrs. Williamson, house; Mrs. Miller, memorial; ' Mrs. Thomas, bridge committee. A letter of appreciation was read from the children of the Sunshine School, in which they thanked the members of the auxiliary for their kindness in supplying hot meals to them during the year. The meeting closed with afternoon tea served by Mrs. Bright and the social committee, who were also responsible for tho floral decorations.
