TAKAPUNA CLUB'S YEAR A successful past season was disclosed by the report presented at the annual meeting of the Takapuna -I<awn Tennis Club. Mr. J. W. Williamson presided over a gpo<l attendance. . ..The following officers were elected:—Preei- .. dent, Mr. J. F. Colegrove: secretary* Mr. G. Browne; treasurer. Mr. S. H. Best: ladies' secretary, Mrs. E. Sullivan. It was decided to make a substantial reduction in subscriptions for the retains scseon. .. It was reported that alterations _to the playing area had resulted in considerable : ' improvement to tho playing facilities. A presentation of a travelling clock was made to the retiring secretary, Mr. N. H. • Hume, who has been transferred to Coromandel. CLEVEDON CLUB'S YEAPv [from OCR OWN correspondent] PUKEKOHE, Tuesday There was a good attendance of members at the annual meeting ot the Clevedon Tennis Club last evening. The report stated that the past season had been a satisfactory one.. Senior and junior teams had been entered in the outer suburban competition conducted by the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association. Tha senior team had won four matches and. lost three, and the junior team had won six and lost two. The club membership had increased from 48 to 54. The balance : sheet revealed a credit balance of £ll. The following officers were elected: —Pat-ron,-Mr. C. H. McCullough; president, Mr. A. i>. Bell: vice-presidents, Messrs.,W. J. Gore, B. W. Lane, C. Knight, C. Gore, E. Dawe, R. J. Alexander; selection committee. Meesre. D. F. Ryburn, J. W. Lane, C. Stephens; team captains, senior, Mr. D. F. Rybum; junior, Mr. J. W. Lane; team vice-captains, senior, Mr. A. S. Bell; j.unior, Mr. R. Waierhouse; grounds committee, Messrs. D. F. Ryburn, J. W. Lane. A. S. Bell. E. Daw;' delegate to Auckland Lawn Tennis Association, Mr. E. L. Burton; auditor, 'Mr. F. *' Hepworth. ' The following were elected, life members: —Messrs. W. J. Gore,'W. J. Hyde, J. D. Henderson, and F. A. Browno. Honorary members elected were: Messrs. S. Bycr* and F. Hepworth. It was decided to open the season on October 1.
