Arrangements have been ir.ide for the carrying on of Cromb and Merritt's sports business during their abfcence. Members of the New Zeak.ul team who toured England in 1931. were required to feign an agreement not to accept engagements in England for two years. Cromb states that this period will have expired by tho time he leaves New Zealand next April. He has, however, placed his position before the New Zealand Cricket Council, which-body disqualified W. E. Merritt from participation in international rricket in New Zealand for a breach of this agreement. Officials of the New Zealand Cricket Council have made no statement regarding Crumb's action, although it. was stated that the matter would probably come before the counciL -
