farmer-socialist party new federation formed (Received August 1, 5.5 p.m.) CALGARY, July 31 The Commonwealth Federation of the Farmer-Labour-Socialist Party came into existence to-day at a session of the western conference of Labour and other political parties. The purpose of the new body is the establishment in Canada of a co-opeiative Commonwealth, in which production, distribution and exchange will he regulated to supply human needs, and not for profit.
