HUDDART-PARKER VESSELS

ULI MAROA'S NEW SERVICE ZEALANDIA ON TASMAN RUN Advice has been received that the Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa is to be commissioned in the Sydney-Hobart passenger and cargo service toward the end of October, and the Zealandia will continue in the New Zealand-Sydney service. With the exception of about three years during the war, the Ulimaroa was engaged in the Australia-New Zealand pasaenger service from the time she was built, in 1908, until the beginning of last April, when she was withdrawn and replaced by the Zealandia. Since she arrived at Sydney from Auckland on April 1 she has undergone a very extensive overhaul. The Zealandia, which was built in 1910, is 855 tons larger than the Ulimaroa, their gross tonnages being:—Ulimaroa, 6828 tons; Zealandia, 6683 tons.
