VITAL STATISTICS
HAMILTON AND WHANGAREI There was a heavy reduction in marriages, a considerable increase in deaths and a slight decrease in births registered in Hamilton during last month. The figures are r.s follows, those for July, 1931, being given in parentheses:—Births, 43 (45); deaths, 28 (19); marriages, 10 (23). Three marriages were performed by the registrar. * At "Whangarei an increase of marriages and a decrease in births and deaths, as compared with the same month last year, is shown in the return of vital statistics. For the seven months of 1932 there has been a decrease in births from 245 to 208, an increase in deaths from 62 to 74, and an increase in marriages from 53 to 64. Figures for last month, with those for July, 1931, in parentheses, are:—Births, 26 (39); deaths, 10 (12); marriages, 16 (8) ' ______
