HAMILTON AND WHANGAREI There was a heavy reduction in marriages, a considerable increase in deaths and a slight decrease in births registered in Hamilton during last month. The figures are r.s follows, those for July, 1931, being given in parentheses:—Births, 43 (45); deaths, 28 (19); marriages, 10 (23). Three marriages were performed by the registrar. * At "Whangarei an increase of marriages and a decrease in births and deaths, as compared with the same month last year, is shown in the return of vital statistics. For the seven months of 1932 there has been a decrease in births from 245 to 208, an increase in deaths from 62 to 74, and an increase in marriages from 53 to 64.
