FROSTS AT REEFTON
RIVER FROZEN OVER The recent severe frosts have caused Reefton householders no end of trouble and inconvenience with burst water pipes and frozen water services, with the result that the local plumbers have had their time fully occupied in effecting repairs. On one morning 17deg. of frost were registered, and the next morning the frost was fully as severe. On July 24 and 25, the Inangahua River, which Hows bv the side of the town, was frozen across. "This is the first time this has happened for over twenty years.
