INDUSTRIAL DISPUTE HEARD DOMINION CONFERENCE FIXED [ny TELEGItAril —MESS association] WELLINGTON, Saturday A conciliation council, presided over by Mr. W. Newton, acting conciliation commissioner, commenced to hear a dispute regarding wages and conditions between the Wellington Meat Export' Company, Limited, tho applicant, and the New Zealand Freezing Works and Related Trades Association and the Wellington Freezing Works Union. It was decided that tho parlies themselves, without the commissioner, should arrange a conference in Wellington on August 10 and arrange for tho presence of representatives from different parts of the Dominion with tho idea of coming to a Dominion agreement. Tho hearing of tho dispute was held over until tho results of tho Dominion conference were known.
