THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE AVERAGE BUSINESS DONE Little alteration took place in 'tho investment market on the Auckland Slock Exchango on Saturday, tho ?inglo call providing an average volume of business. Steady offers were maintained for Government loans, and although holders of and per cents were slightly easier no business was completed. Banks were quiet. Late rates were reinstated in most of the offers made and secured a shading on the part of sellers in one or two instances. Unions changed hands 2s 3d lower at £6 17s. Support for New Zealands fell back 3d to 46s 9d, but sellers were a liko amount firmer at 47s 6d. In New South Wales an advance of 5s in offers to £26 ss, attracted a selling quotations 2s 6d lower at £26 17s 6d. Holders of English, Scottish and Australians also reduced their limits slightly to £4 3s 6d. The demand remained firm for insurance. Steady conditions existed in other sections of tho market. Auckland Gas wcro done again at 21s. A fall of 6d took placo in Northern Steams, which were released at 6s 6d. Moturoa Oils eased 3d op. sale at 3s 3d and a slight improvement was registered in Farmers' Tradings, which had salo at 4s ljd. Firm levels ruled for mining issues.

Limited, was reached nt a meeting of honoy producers at Wellington last week. Business will bo conducted on a co operative • basis. The company will have a share capital of £12,000, to be allotted on a basis of five £1 shares a ton of the producer's whole crop, estimated on an average of three years' production. One-tenth of the first year's crop is to bo retained toward liquidation of the share capital plus deduction of 1-lod a lb. on total crop produced. Balance owing on shares after first year to bo paid by a deduction of l-10d a lb. on the whole of that year's crop. The company shall hnvo power to call upon shareholders to supply up to 50 per cent of their crop to Iho company. The. provisional directors elected were: Messrs. J. ltentoul (chairman), S. D. Cooper, A. B. Callick, J. Smith, W. Nelson, U. Penny, and L. E. Robins.
